I got my first van, a new ford e150, in 1979, 8 years after my accident. It had
a "Bud" lift, now extinct. It was a pile of junk from day one. Within six years
I had spent more in repairs than I paid for it ($10,500). A few years ago I did
a bit of research and learned that in the late 70's Ford made some of the
poorest quality vehicles in the world. I drove and cursed that thing until 2001
when I bought a 96 e150 off ebay for 13,500. It had 113,000 miles but has
served me well so far. Crow River lift.
