Lori I am using Microsoft Vista, and after six months I hate it when I have to go back to Windows XP and Dragon Naturallyspeaking. Vistas speech recognition is very intuitive, and even if I do not train it to learn the new words I use, if learns them by itself. Since I have absolutely no way, other than a mouth stick, to press a button I really appreciate being able to utilize the entire computer by voice.
I still do not like that it will not stay asleep, and will wake up and typed with utter abandon whatever is being said. J For those of you who can push a button, it would be simple to turn the microphone off and then back on when needed. But I have found a way around that works for me at the present time and until Microsoft comes out with a patch, I will live with it. Haven’t forgotten about the phone, just have not had the time to go try one out. But I think it will be another Sony Ericsson-probably the 800 series. I will let you know as soon as I get the new phone. Joan PS: I had to correct three words in the above document. No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
