wow! Ten days is not a reasonable attempt to provide a service thats near competative to a regular service in a manner that isn't openly hostile. They get big federal money and they are pocketing it. Sounds like a great investigative piece for local news. Bush has messed with funding but thats just not reasonable. What is it, one driver? One vehicle? Our local transit gets over 20 million dollars from feds to provide a curb to curb service. There isn't an excuse for not providing it. Someone could be misspending it, but that isn't an excuse. A lot of what has been common in smaller systems has been using the money to pay for mainstreaming. Yup, make sure the kids get there because school is the only place they will get to on time in this life. !0 days? I don't know what I'm doing in 10 days. Do that call that the frequent cancellation system? Call em up and book them so if you don't cancel they won't show. That is sad. With a transit system like that you don't really have anything but phone expences. Dan, you really should tell a reporter. It sounds juicy.

THAT IS A GOOD SERVICE, IN ST. LOUIS COUNTY MISSOURI, THEY HAVE A CALL A RIDE PLAN AND MUST CALL IN ABOUT 10 DAYS BEFORE TRAVEL AND HALF THE TIME THEY SAY SORRY BOOKED FOR THAT TIME, ALSO EVEN IF YOU GET AN APPOINTMENT THEY DON'T SHOW UP MANY TIMES. I HAVE NOT RODE WITH THEM FOR OVER A YEAR--------- HOPE IT IS BETTER NOW. DAN H. Joan Anglin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Hi John I have to say that our Para Transit system in Reno is excellent. You can get a ride 24 hours a day, and schedule from 1 to 3 days in advance. During the evening and early morning hours it is a ride in a taxi. There is a 15 minute window on either side of your pick up time, and in the last four or five years I have only been late a few times. The cost is $1.75, and that is cheap! This year they have improved it even more by adding the ability to take the bus to town, get dropped off at one location, get picked up and taken to another location, and later get picked up and delivered home. It is definitely a blessing. Have a great day. Joan No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
