Hey gang,

Like a few of us... I am also on the SCIC (Spinal Cord Injury Caregivers)
list and one of my *regular correspondents* is a mother of a quad. She was
asking on the list about how other quads are able to play those X-Box games
on the television. I told her I would post our correspondence and her
question to this list. If you have any suggestions... she is looking
forward to giving him games that he would be able to play for/by Christmas.
Her name is Marion and her e-mail address is [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Here (below) is the correspondence. Probably easier to read from the bottom
to the top!

 Lori,

Chris also plays and works daily on his computer. However, the new X-Box
games are what are leaving him yearning to be able to play. I wanted, last
year, to surprise him and enable this – maybe this year. If you could get
some info on the quad list that would be great. I think if you post any
feedback to our scic site it would help others too. I don't know what it is
about these games, I have never gotten into them, but I do know it means a
little bit closer to "normal" if you can play them. Thank you so much for
responding.

I have played plenty of video games on the computer since my injury. Either
using my fists on the keyboard or using the mouse to move around. Chris'
injury is lower than mine so he should have more movement. Perhaps you are
talking about the ones to be played on the television by using the popular
X-BOX for games? But there are plenty of all kinds (if not just as good
ones) to play on the computer.

I don't play anymore because I do not have time and am busy doing other
things I like. But I know this has been a subject on the quad list many
times so maybe you would like me or Dave Kelmer to post your message over
there and to respond to you privately. Let us know.

Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are enjoying the

I have a question for the group. One of the things that Chris misses most
since his sci is being able to play vid games. I got in contact with Sony
last year at about this time, asking if they have any contraption that would
enable a quad to play the newest games but never got any feedback. I know it
sounds funny looking for a time distraction for a 26 year old but things are
different for our family members with sci. I would love to find something
that works for Chris and am asking all of you if anyone in the group has
found something, anything at all out there.

We finally have cooler weather here in Houston – the day before yesterday
the temp went from 82 degrees in the afternoon to 48 in the evening. Just in
time to make Thanksgiving feel right!
