I keep cash in my room when I want to save for some big purchase. Medicai/Medicare doesn't have to know if I have more than $2,000 if it's in cash.

For example, when GHenry recently asked about wireless microphones... this is just one example out of thousands and thousands of things that are pricey. Do you just go without or do family members help you with such purchases? Or really nice friends! Say, for example, that you wanted a brand-new Sony Bravia flat screen TV that is 46 inches. Or a brand-new MP3 player that is worth it ($200+) and a myriad of other examples. Just curious! Lori Michaelson C4/5 complete quad, 28 years post Tucson, AZ
