Jim, was an inspiration to any and all who knew him or read his book. Mr.
Boyd, down in Louisiana, was part of the flood evacuation program before
returning to his home safely. He has yet to grace us with an email and can
only
hope he is doing well. Stuntman is also a big fan of Mr. Boyd and
communicates with him more than I. I do hope, one day that he chooses to
return here
and posts. We will all benefit from his wisdom. I said the same of Breezy...
where ever she is.
Best Wishes

I found this on him. Sadly I know for a fact he is not or I should say was
not the oldest quadriplegic in America. Mr. Boyd, whom I am sure many will
remember had just turned 80 when I last contacted him about six months ago.
Wheelchair would know more about him, but I believe he was initially paralyzed
in an airplane accident some 50 years ago.
Having said that, however, living 56 years as a quadriplegic and then
writing a book about it is an unbelievable accomplishment of which one should
be
proud. Sad to hear he passed away.
