Same here Dianna. Any logic that costs more in beginning funding goes right 
over the heads of the bean counters that decide what you will and won't get. 
Please do try to apply for an Ibot. 
The people at Medicare and Medicaid will insist that they do not discriminate 
unless you make them put it in writing and get names. They insist that they do 
pay for any device that is appropriate and nesicary,  but they have not bought 
Ibots or any of a dozen other models of chairs except in cases where the actual 
cost is payed by other entities.
I wish you the best of luck. I had planned on getting paperwork ready for an 
Ibot just to prove they do not pay for higher quality chairs and that is why  
we pay for chairs that aren't reliable enough for people to make it to work 
regularly.
