Ruh Roh (as Scooby Doo would say)... I think Eric and I agree on something.
Perhaps anyway.

I have found it is harder than he*l to find people *who are dependable,
reliable and responsible* but, if they are, and one wants to keep them... we
start them out at around eight dollars or nine dollars (under de table) *just
to get started to see if *they're going to work out.

It also depends on what I am having them do. For example... hands-on care
or domestic help. If they are combined ... then one just has to work out
what is comfortable for both parties.

If someone has a CNA license... they usually get paid $8.50 an hour through
agencies here. And then it depends how far they have to travel for how many
hours, etc. etc. etc. etc.. But I have found out personally that if they
have a license and good (or broad) experience then they want to start out at
at least $10 an hour.

But for my needs... just about anyone with an average IQ can be trained to
do my care or do what domestic help I need help with. So we just have to
work out the hours, how far away they live and so on.
