When I first moved to Tampa in 1996 qualified caregivers were going for about $13 an hour. At least that's what the agency was charging me. I agree 100%. It is terribly difficult to find really competent people and when you do you need to treat them like gold.
Right now I am lucky enough to have my sister-in-law and brother performing my care. I don't know, given how much work it is to get me up and going, whether I could ever find somebody as reliable as they are. Possibly a live-in caregiver, but I don't know. Quadius
