My family had a Chihuahua when I was really young, but we haven't had a small dog since.
Last year my brother's family, also my caregivers, rescued at an abandoned dog and I absolutely adore her. Her name is Bella and she is a Belgian Malinois. Although she is six years old, she often acts just like a puppy. One of these days I might get a dog of my own. However, it's difficult for me to get somebody to mop the floors, let alone make sure they take the dog out properly. Quadius
