I am on my second service dog both Golden Retrievers. The first came from
an organization, the second trained by myself. It insults people when I say
that their dog 's intelligence or what it can do is limited only by how far
we take it or require of our dogs. If you work with a dog their limitation
is only because of our limitation or how far we take them.

Dogs can be taught near anything YOU put your mind into. It is no accident
I have a good dog or hat she can do for me. Both of my dogs learned to Quad
cough me while in bed. They do know what they are doing but their behavior
on command works for me.

They have IQ tests for dogs?
Dogs can be remarkably intuitive but I can't help believe it is the trainer
that develops the dog in ways we call smart. My great Aunt had a Chihuahua
that sat at the table and made small talk. I've seen dogs trained to sniff
drugs but my aunt's dog with sit in front of whoever in the room had the
most paper money. Which dog is smarter?
An IQ test is a lot like how they use to weigh pigs in Louisianna. They
would set a plank over a beam and set the pig on one side and balance the
plank with rocks from a pile they had. When the pig balanced they would
guess the weight of the rocks.

Border Collie is the smartest of all dogs.....Standard Poodle

is next......Great Dane is #48......so I'm a Service Person

for her.

Congratulations Dan,

so glad that your daughter got you a puppy. Do you know how large it is
expected to be, according to its parents. I have always wondered what a
Chihuahua would be like as a pet, I have a female, 5 pound Yorkie that just
turned four years old and I really love her as a companion. Zoe likes to be
on my lap and she will lay on top of my phone and iPod. She loves it when I
don't have my Plexiglas on my lap and she can have it to herself. The person
I have gone to for my nails as a small Chihuahua about the same size as Zoe,
that is really cute that she sometimes has in her shop. She is afraid of my
dog that is on my lap, she hides under the tables but they don't bark at
each other.

Keep us posted on your little daughter. What is her name?

Dana

Dave, so your little dog is not fixed yet. I have heard that little boys
like to do that. I only had little girls.

What is his name?
Dana

I really like my 2 guys. my 'stud' needs a fix which is in the pipeline -
when he gets started, nobody is safe. poor little guy runs around humping
thin air. the breed is very ferocious around strangers, my guys go after
pit bulls and great danes. also, anybody entering your house needs to be
careful and not turn their backs to them right away. mine sleep with me,
they love to cuddle at night thus making it very hard to roll over. All in
all, I would definitely recommend this breed - they are very attentive
companions and make great intruder alerts.

Hi , all interested and Dave...Since I know you Own Chihuahua's ;-) My
youngest Daughter and I talked about getting a small dog since all we ever
owned is medium to large Dog's our entire lives., and our old guard and
family watchdog-- A boxer named Tazz is almost 12 years old and probably
will not live much longer- . Well my daughter surprized me the other night
with a Tiny Light Fawn colored baby Chihuahua puppy. It is the cutest
little thing ! with big ole upright ears. She only weighs 2 pounds and the
Vet said today, she is in perfect health. Of all the puppies we have ever
had, she seems so smart and playful and catches on quick-----even the vet
said she seemed extremely intelligent for her age ( about 10 weeks ) . She
has been fun the last few day's and I told my Daughter we may get another
one for a companion in the future since they are so small and She wants to
own one and me and wife own one. ANYWAY---Sorry so long of letter ! But do
you Dave -or anyone else have any advice on this breed???

                                                             Thanks, Dan H.
