Not everybody is a perfect fit when it comes to accessible vans. Having an
evaluation by a certified NMEDA dealer is free or you can go to NMEDA.org and
ask for your free copy of buying an accessible van.

Hi,

Assuming you are driving. If so......
You simply start by deciding if you need a full size or a mini.
To tell which you need: Can you see clearly out the
windshield in the mini? If yes, get the mini.

Now which mini? I recommend the Honda Odyssey without
the sunroof......you get more headroom without it. Now,
you need to get the chair fitted into the van. The dealer
should be able to do this.

Should you need a full size....DO NOT GET RAISED ROOF.
Other than that Ford E350 is good and powerful.

I can help answer more questions and can put you in touch
with a friend o mine who sells adapted vehicles.

Thanks,

Merrill,
Are you in a power chair or manual? I am a permobil c-300, and I am also 5
foot 11. All this talk of not seeing out windows, bottoming out over too much
snow, bumping your head on the roof, leaks etc. has me running like a scared
rabbit! Oh no! Where do I start when I buy a van?
