Not trying to be one up on your posting, I once had a visitor from New Zealand who was a Quad Sailor, and a Vent User. She had several Para-lympic medasl for her solo sailing efforts too. Whoa! It says that she went alone! I think that is absolutely crazy. Especially in a sailboat. It is hard enough for a fully able bodied person to control such a boat let alone one that relies upon mother nature's winds. And I love the water! The risks that I take are very, very small. Definitely not paranoid -- just cautious. I definitely do not want to be one of those listed on the Darwin awards!
