You have to find your own dose, but it won't cause cramps or powerful movements. It just lets stool move through your large intestine to your colon. Try bran and fiber and a dose each morning with coffee. If you need more take more at lunch. Don't be afraid of it, it doesn't react with any meds I can think of. I have taken four doses in a day. The next day it just worked normal with the suppository. (Don't get cherry flavored suppositories, people forget where they go.) Best wishes, john

I was wondering how often you use it and how quickly does it work. I just purchased a small bottle that you are supposed to use one dose a day for seven days to help with constipation. I normally take 3-4 stool softeners/with laxative and 4 fiber capsules a day and was going pretty regularly every morning (with a magic bullet). Recently I've just started a new pain medication in my intrathecal baclofen pump and it seems to be affecting my bowels, slowing them down, making me more constipated. So I remembered the Miralax talked about on here and bought a small bottle to see if it would help. I just don't know when I should take it during the day or in the evening to help me go in the morning (hopefully better than I've been going). And I don't know if I should reduce the stool softeners or fiber I take normally since I will be adding the Miralax. I definitely don't want it to cause me to go the other direction and have an accident in the middle of the day, which has rarely happened to me, but don't want it to start now. So any help or advice would be appreciated! Thanks, Corie
