There are definitely drugs that help with anxiety (and depression), but as many know panic attacks in particular are more psychological than it is physical (when there are no medical conditions contributing to them). Relaxation/breathing exercises and imagery should help- Try thinking positively and take time out to imagine yourself being in a peaceful and happy place/state. There's nothing anyone can do about the past. While relaxing focus your energy on deep breathing and being aware of your bodily sensations (where you feel tense). All panic attacks have triggers- your body gives you physical cues/symptoms prior to experiencing a full-blown panic attack. When you feel it coming try to breathe deeply and tell yourself positive things such as I'm going to be okay. Anxiety and depression often go together. Definitely talk to a physician if want to consider taking meds. I have a lot of anxiety myself and take valium when I know I'm going to face some major ordeal.
Best wishes to all on their anniversaries. Seems natural life progressions come so easy to even high quads who got married and appear to have desirable lives. Being an aging quad does not appear to be a mellowing experience although there is always a love of life and a yearning to be more of it. > >Merrill > > > > > >From: William Willis [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, August 09, 2008 11:23 AMTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: FW: [QUAD-L] 13 yrs breathing > >Thanks Dana. I never dreamed I would last 37 years! The last 2 years I can really tell a difference. I stay tired all the time and battle panic attacks that are just killers. I still have that sore too. I figure I'll take it to my grave. Life just seems to get harder as I grow older, but I guess that is the way life works. Take care, my friend. Please correct me if I am wrong about your name.WOW 37 years-a great accomplishment. How are you doing? I think I remember you writing about a sore, how is it doing? How are your dogs, you have two? > > > >I hope you celebrated in some way. > > > >I forgot to tell people last month that my 34th anniversary was July 27.
