Are the panic attacks related to an extended illness which knocked you out
of the loop of doing things you should have done by now in your mind but
could physically not due to pain? Seems natural life progressions come so
easy to even high quads who got married and appear to have desirable lives.
Being an aging quad does not appear to be a mellowing experience although
there is always a love of life and a yearning to be more of it.

Thanks Dana. I never dreamed I would last 37 years! The last 2 years I can
really tell a difference. I stay tired all the time and battle panic attacks
that are just killers. I still have that sore too. I figure I'll take it to
my grave. Life just seems to get harder as I grow older, but I guess that is
the way life works. Take care, my friend. Larry

  <http://gfx2.hotmail.com/mail/w3/pr01/ltr/i_safe.gif> Congratulations
Larry on your 37 year, if that is right. Please correct me if I am wrong
about your name.
WOW 37 years-a great accomplishment. How are you doing? I think I remember
you writing about a sore, how is it doing? How are your dogs, you have two?

I hope you celebrated in some way.

I forgot to tell people last month that my 34th anniversary was July 27. I
usually remember to list it.What I remember the most,is that I overheard I
was paralyzed by a nurse talking to a physical therapist. It had been almost
a month and I was in ICU on a ventilator.I kept feeling like I was in a
straitjacket, but did not realize what my injury was.Duh

Congratulations and God bless. Hang in there. Day before yesterday was my
37th anniversary. Still truckin' but each day is a mighty rough haul. Time
is catching up with me and it aint fun..

Wishing you many more years of breathing my friend.

I have chosen not to think too much about the anniversary of my accident,
but I have decided to embrace the first time I was able to breathe for 24
hours without any ventilator assistance.

I was shooting for my birthday, August 4, but I managed to breathe on my own
for the entire day on August 6 (today) 13 years ago. In fact, I have only
been put on a ventilator once since then to aid me in getting out
secretions. Well, I do stuck on the end of a ventilator hose daily in order
to get some medication into my lungs, but I didn't start doing that until
February 2007.

I had planned on doing something today, but that didn't work out. Tomorrow
I will definitely doing something worthwhile.
