I haven't heard of other quads getting it, but a few months ago I ended up
in the ER. One of the things they did was take some x-rays of my chest area.
One of the things in the report from the techs was that there was some water
around the heart. It was not related to my UTI and they said it was no big
deal. But for some time now when I lay totally flat, my breathing feels
weird. I can't really describe it right, kind of like it's heavy, but not
like when it's pneumonia. It sometimes feels like it groans, then feels
better. If I sit up a little, it goes away. I'm going to go see my primary,
but he knows nothing of quads. I'll ask for another x-ray so they can
compare them to see if it is worse. And ask if I should see someone about
it. It's not bad feeling, kind of like lightly tight muscles. It might just
be my abdomen area muscles tightening a bit from my muscles stretching when
laying flat. Or irritated from the SP cath. It's just hard to pin point the
exact area and feeling.
