I've always had my aides perform ALL my personal care...BP, SP Cath, etc. I've never heard a private paid person has rules. Greg
What duties can privately hired aides in Maryland perform? Can they do bowel care, deal with colostomies, catheterize, deal with SP caths, etc.? There was a news report a few weeks ago that said caregivers need to be licensed to perform such procedures.
