Ya ... this "Mac Mac" is pretty mysterious even with his own website describing himself and who he has worked for, etc. His website's description of "years of total experience" do not jive and he, like anyone, has to be one to be cautious of. Apparently his recent patient (a C4 quad) passed away and he is looking for new work. Even if he has to relocate. He says he is from Glendale, Arizona.
Ok, people left to wonder like what is he doing now for income? He claims that his family says that he is a very warm, compassionate caregiver. IF there really is a family. And you don't choose family for references. AND we can't ask his prior patient because he's DEAD. Unless that patient has/had family that is "real." For references. I'm preaching to the choir here. I also heard about him from the SCIC list but no one has no way of knowing whether he is genuine or not. 10 years ago we hired a male caregiver and got ripped off big time. Now I can see that he was dangerous as well so I am glad that nothing worse happened.
