I'm aware that many comnputers have Norton or Mcaffee already installed,
usually as a 90 day trial. I try to go to www.cnet.com, or www.zdnet.com to
find out which anti-virus and or firewall that they recommend. I attribute my
last 6 years with win XP being so smooth to my use of "the shield". When I used
Norton and Mcaffee I got viruses and trojans and I would spend a week getting
my computer back to a near normal behavior. These are only my experience. They
may have improved but I don't hear security people telling others to go get
Norton or Mcaffee. I think if you feel protected and you stay backed up, then
whatever you use is fine.
It is just my opinion, and y'all know it ain't always worth what you pay me :D

I certainly wish you all the very best.
john
