I have no fear of toolbars except those that redirect my searches. The yahoo
toolbar doesn't seem to do this and it is easily turned off by going to "tools"
then "toolbars" and unclicking any toolbars you want to stop running.
I do not like Norton and I feel it is only helpful if it is free. Even then I
have had computers that just slow down incredibly from running it.
If you are going to purchace a suite of security software go to CNET or ZDNET
to see what people and experts consider to be the best bang for your buck. You
should have an anti-virus software running and a firewall. By going to "tools"
and then "internet options" then "security" you can add sites to your
restricted site list. This can stop others that use your computer from going to
sites that have viruses, trojans, and worms. Anti-spyware is an important part
of your computer defence. Don't be afraid to post questiuons to experts and the
folks selling computers.

I'm running Vista and AOL.   I have had no real problems except one self
inflicted one.   Careful loading 'add on' toolbars to your browser.  just say
'no'.

Hi  All,  I have a question about getting a new computer,  do any of  you buy
the extra protection such as NORTON or MCAFFEE for your  computer safety OR do
you think it is safe to just use your server site protection such as provided
by YAHOO and AOL & so on ???   I am not real sure on this and we are getting a
new computer, Perhaps I could buy a 3 year security plan PLUS use my Yahoo
security also to make me have even more protection???
          Thanks for any idea's -----------------------------------
