They have you flush it after each dose.  Make sure you follow those 
instructions because the pic could get a blood clot then you will really have 
problems.  Mine wasn't properly flushed in the hospital and then they had to 
call the iv team to my room to get it unclogged.

My husband recently had a flap surgery and is set to come home on Thursday.  He 
just got his picc line he will be coming home with.......I am his caregiver and 
will be in charge of giving his antibiotics through the picc line...has anyone 
else had to do a picc line before, any tips?
