I am working full time but take online courses at DeVry University. I have been trying to finish their bachelors program for a while now. All of my school is paid through federal loans along with some state grants but none are for my disability. I was injured in '89 at 17 so I kind of knew that computers were going to be one of my main avenues. My first computer job was 35k a year and over the past ten years I have moved companies twice and am up to 73k a year without a degree.
I started by getting a Microsoft Certified System Engineer certificate thingy, which cost me 5k and took 6 months. That enabled me to get into a good company. I was laid off twice along the way during the tech bust in the 90's but kept seeking out higher paying jobs until the right match came along. I am the only disabled person at my job, and they gave me a laptop and the ability to work from home if I desire. As far as the online classes, they are all on the computer, all books and materials are in pdf and word format. I don't roll one wheel inside a physical building, not even for final exams. Here are some college funding ideas for those with disabilities, maybe a piece of it will be helpful: http://www.washington.edu/doit/Brochures/Academics/financial-aid.html Good luck.
