I have not been diagnosed with anything, but after using Oxycontin and then MS-Contin for years, my stomach and innards do not work as well as they use to.
I often have abdomen pain. It's like if things get just a little harder or softer, not bad just a bit of a change, I get very bad pains. And then the gas pains come, they can really hurt. It was embarrassing, but I was rushed to the ER by the EMTs, because of AD from gas pains. I was in the middle of my bowel program. I had to call them when I thought my head was going to explode from a headache. Very high blood pressure. I knew what it was from, but it just would not go away and kept getting worse. I told them what it was, but they wanted to run a bunch of tests anyway. The only thing they found was "Thickening of the rectum walls." My guess it is from all the suppositories from doing my b-program. Does anyone here have IBS or Gastritis? I was diagnosed with both because have had serious adominal pain the last 3 months. The GI doc went in and said stomach was doing fine, and of course said there was nothing wrong with stomach. But did say I had IBS & Gastritis and that I would just kind of learn to deal with stomach pain that comes along with it. Of course he put me on a new med which seems to help. I just can't imagine that my stomach is going to hurt like this from now on. I just want to know if anyone has this and if this pain is forever. Sometimes I think these doc's just pawn the problem on another doc. Cause right away he said for me to go to pain mgmt doc. As if i want to be on darn pain meds that too me doesn't solve every problem. Veranda
