Your post is similar to my experience. February 14th I was admitted to the hospital via a 911 call. My diagnosis was long time morphine use. No, anything but that! It apparently has slowed my stomach gestation period. My symptoms included chronic burping during acute painful episodes. Appears to come on within one hour after lying down and worsens when I drink, thus the dehydration a week after a vomiting attack.
Well, after a month of detox much has resolved except pain after lying down. Kathy, were you also on morphine for a long period? I believe from what you wrote that most all your issues are confusing the real problem as I also share unbelievably most of your symptms. With Quadriplegics the urinary system is most often the problem hidden behind many diverting symptems. Your frequent UTIs suggest kidney stones which might also especially with antibiotics cause dementia episodes, particularly in the middle of sleap. Can any Quadriplegics describe what having a kidney stone is like? My right side lower abdomen pain seems expected every night for about 4 hours beginning in ½ hour of lying down. Hi all, I have been in the hospital for 5 weeks with bed sores, sepsis, staph, strep, on going kidney infections with horrible bladder spasms. Due to all of that going on I went through toxic dementia because my body was not getting rid of the pain meds, or infections and that was a living hell of nightmares and not knowing anyone. They let me stay in my room because I am a no code, and the nurses took turns sitting with me at night. I was home about a month and started vomiting and my pain was way up there. The ambulance took me to the hospital where I still had a kidney/bladder infection. They also found out I have MRSA. Home again, but just finished another round of meds, and I believe I have another one. Since I have been back on, I haven't seen any posting from Dana, and have seen her on my buddy list.
