there may be a study your eligable for, but don't get your hopes up. Functional Electrical Stimulation would be up to you and your ability to find the rehab doctor that will test you. It is probably an insurance nono. up at Write State a guy made radio implants and you pressed a button and viola. I think someone bought the invention and killed it. If you look on the web you see specialists health places, ie http://www.metrohealth.org/body.cfm?id=1039. I'm told they have had excellent results in bladder training. I've always wondered what happened to FES and biofeedback. Do you mean nobody on here even tried FES for bladder training?

Then a few years ago all of a sudden I couldn't. So Urologist suggested self intermittent cathing. I can bearly move one arm and I don't have 24 hour care. So, then he suggested a Foley which I had for about a year but it gave me excruciating pain in my right hip which is the side I lean on. My Uro said he wasn't surprised as a Foley is in contact with a lot of nerves which could be the cause of the pain. That's when he suggested the Supra Pubic. I got a second opinion from a Uro at Mass General and he concurred. Dan At 07:46 PM 6/23/2009, [email protected] said something that elicited my response: Sorry, I came in on the tail end of the conversation. Did you have a Foley catheter before your supra pubic catheter ? I have a Foley catheter and I'm thinking about getting a supra pubic. A really good friend of mine, who's a nurse, told me that my urethra will erode from sitting on it all the time. She suggested I get a supra pubic. I don't know if this is true or not.
