You are not stupid, but on twitter, if you don't follow a couple of the
people that the people you are following follow , then you would see the
bigger picture..i am a twitter addict; pretty soon they make me go to sit in
those rooms and say hi, my name is wendy and I am a twitter addict.

I have not had time to look at Twitter myself in detail but what you are
saying, Dan, is exactly what I saw too.

That also is kind of what happened to me when I created my very temporary
Facebook account. I invited who I wanted to and then when I went to look at
my Facebook homepage -- it was full of a bunch of junk. Other people I don't
know talking about random things, things along the side of the page, etc.

I looked over all the settings so I couldn't figure out why I did not have a
blank page to start working with. Just a bunch of comments from people I did
not invite or include when I signed up, etc.

When I try to set it up again (if I do) I am sure there is a way around to
stop that sort of thing.

Like many others I am trying to get a wound healed and I have about 100
other things to do on the PC when I do have PC time. I'm glad so many people
are having so much fun with theirs however!

response:

It seems like everyone is all in a twitter about Twitter.com! Pardon the
pun! LOL.

First it was MySpace, then people started using Facebook and now Twitter is
hot for the same reasons as the two prior sites.

Again, I don't have time to start one of these let alone keep up with it so
it will be a future item on my agenda if I ever get that far or want to go
that route. By then it will probably be something else! LOL LOL

But also, to me, it seems more like something a teenager would want to use.
Friends, personal info, for the latest KRAZE. Almost like a popularity
thing but also a "fun" thing.

And, for those computer geniuses (like my husband) and hackers - even if
they are set up to block out certain people or choose certain people - the
information is not private to many many people that you are not aware of.

E-mailing personal information to my online friends, etc, trying to keep up
with my computer projects and working on putting up my own personal website
is even more than I can handle -- especially now.

Different strokes for different folks as always [][][]but am I alone in
thinking that it seems to be something that teenagers would do? On the flip
side, we are all young at heart so it is a different kind of fun for those
that have the time to keep up with it, etc.!
