I was thinking of adapting a plastic sling back reclining lounge chair to sit
in the canoe.
Possibly adapting a wheel barrow with cushions to get from the canoe/stream to
my wheelchair.
Our local stream is not real deep except at a few spots.
My worry is flipping and banging my body around.
Of course I would have life vest on and foam noodles in canoe with several
strong men in my and other canoes.

A few years back my family and I went on a float trip here in Missouri
on the Meremac river, some went by canoe but several small groups of us also
rented a 4 man and an 8 man raft--they had 4-6-or 8 man raft rentals and canoe
rental floats. I was carried and put in the 8 man raft with some family
membersand some of the coolers and stuff. It was fun--We just left my
powerchair in the van and a few of the guys carried me from the van to the
raft. it has been a few years back---------i need to try that one again ! I
wore a life jacket just in case, plus my family knew if I tipped over for any
reason to get me to the side or shore. Dan H.

I couldn't keep a canoe balanced before my injury. To try it now for
me would be foolish. But i too am from Pa. And live not too far from the Lehigh
River and I really miss white water rafting'! I am afraid to try it now (c-6)
Ya know. My luck isn't the greatest. I don't want my obit to read " stupid
cripple drowns trying to go wwr" just my luck. E_bay has some cool dune buggies
that I might Check into. But I am looking for an accessable van first.
