Hi~ I am a researcher at the University of California Irvine (plus have a C6 injury myself) and I am conducting a new survey in collaboration with Dr. Mark Nash at the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis (University of Miami). The goal of the survey is to identify in great detail what the SCI population perceives to be barriers to exercise participation and expand upon what is known. The data will feed into a larger portion of the NIDRR-funded study being conducted by Dr. Nash aimed at reducing obesity and secondary complications with exercise and a supplement. I'm writing to you to ask whether you would be interested in posting a short notice on your website and to your mailing list with information about the survey and how to participate. The notice is copied below.
Thank you in advance for your consideration! Best wishes, Kim Kim Anderson-Erisman, Ph.D. Assistant Adjunct Professor Reeve-Irvine Research Center Dept. The information gained from this study will provide valuable information to scientists who study how exercise influences different aspects of health, specific to SCI. They need this information in order to better create exercise programs that a large majority of people with SCI can participate in and that are effective for their health. For more information please contact Dr. Kim Anderson at [email protected] . All information will be kept strictly confidential. http://www.scisurveys.org/phpQ/
