Thanks for the Permobil responses,
The Harness doesn't bother you Cullen or Joan? I tried it but I didn't like
something around my neck and resting on my chest. I couldn't imagine
wearing that for 12 to 14 hours a day. I've always used a swing away arm. I've
never had a problem of losing it. I also with a little Velcro rest my
mouthstick along the top of the swing away arm.
I did look up reviews. The one constant flaw was the speed. Thank you
Kelray for commenting on the no shear recline. I'll bring that up to the rep..
It would be nice if they would mount the chin control so I could test drive
it. It's impossible to know how its going to work for you when they just
bring out a standard chair. They start saying we can change this and add that
but you never really know until its done. That's always been my biggest
complaint.
I guess I'm spoiled in my 15 year old chair. It's faster and the
electronics are simple. I push up wait a sec and I'm in drive. I push left wait
a
sec and I'm in recline. I do have a box to tell me but I never look at it. The
box is mounted on a flex tubing under my arm rest. It's pushed down so its
out of the way. Making it easy for access under tables. I do have several
drive modes but I don't use them. I just use drive 1. It's turned up as
fast as it can go. I control my speed by just the chin control joystick. Never
understood why have so many drives set at different speeds when I can just
control my speed by my chin. The one thing I don't have is tilt.
