I am using a Chevy Uplander. My problem is that I am really tall and sit less than an inch from the top of the van when I am sitting fairly comfortable.
I'm concerned about being able to maneuver into the van since my Ezlock sits back a little bit. Right now I'm driving an Invacare which has the ball in the rear under the two reardrive tires. My new chair, Permobile C-350, is also a rear drive system, but the front casters are quite a bit larger than my present set up and they also sit out wider. So I'm concerned that my casters will be all over the easy lock as I'm trying to maneuver in my wheelchair into position. This is complicated by the fact that I have a fold-down jump seat on the left side of the van, so I'm not able to go back as far as I normally would be able to. I guess the best thing to do is get the wheelchair and test the system out to see if I can get in and out fairly quickly. It took me awhile to learn how to maneuver using my present chair, which I have been in for more than 14 years now, so I might give it a little time before I pass judgment.
