I have a SP cath and every now and then I get a very bad pain in my abdomen, plus lots of gas. Often within days of changing my cath. It starts out feeling like it's just gas, burping, etc. Then It's so bad I want to just bend over. Then I remember last time it happened it was caused by my SP cath. It is draining well, looks clean, no sweating or any AD. But if I change my cath the pain goes away. Like maybe it was just poking me in a bad place. It does case gas, but after changing the cath the gas slowly goes away too. My old urologist told me often any irritation to your bladder can cause bad gas.
