Hi. I am looking to help my friend find home healthcare- PCA to supplement
nursing care in NJ. I found the agencies charge $25.oo/hour for an aid. I was
wondering if others have been successful in finding an aid at home, and
problems with hiring, etc. The live-in aid costs are approx $200.00/day out of
pocket.

I just got off the phone with one agency representative who let me know my
friend would not seem like an at home "candidate" and should be in a nursing
home. He told me they do not accept Medicare/Medicaid but state regs prohibit
their aids from doing much other than feeding by mouth, turning and light
cleaning the house. This is going to be a challenge, I can tell.
