I've only been on this (great!) mailing list for less than two years, so certainly no expert, but three things stand out for me: 1) Its a great place to ask specific questions about the mechanics of things. For example, I learned to use vinegar to freshen/clean my leg bag. 2) It provides a sense of community. I feel connected to others who know first hand, what I experience on a daily basis. 3) Most, if not all of us, are looking for secrets to coping, paths (back) to happiness, on how to adapt and thrive. I've posted the question and i've seen many others do it too. The secret is no secret at all, though: It comes from within each of us and our connection to others. I just finished watching the 3-part Public Broadcasting mini-series called "This Emotional Life" and that's the bottom-line. I'd recommend everyone watch it. Great stuff (and yes, they have a quad, among many other relevant and insigjhtful interviewees).
