Dana, when all else fails, we employ the age old - "spank" therapy.

It toughens fragile dermis
It improves circulation
It renews a new level of feeling and sensation

Just ask Eric

It is important that your attendant apply zinc oxide to protect you from
stool or urine being on your skin and kept very clean and dry if it becomes
damp . I've been told that sometimes Destin said vitamin A & D ointment
can also be used. My aid did not do that and it caused a stage 2 extremely
angry rash and was even open in a few places, which are not now . I went to
the wound Center and they prescribed Zenaderm as it protects the skin and
some kind of healing ingredient also . I go back in another week from this
previous Monday. The wetness in the area also caused yeast infection,
which they prescribed a powder for the yeast infection to be put on first and
then wait 10 minutes to apply Zenaderm. Is getting better, but I have not
be my wheelchair as much as they suggested. I don't know if this treatment
would help you. Any form of wetness causes the yeast the doctor said.
Mine is on my cheeks and between my cheeks. My aid had been trained to use
zinc oxide as the doctor recommended during my bowel routine and afterwards
to protect your skin, but not doing. I am now making sure this is done .

Has anyone else ever had this problem?
Dana
