Hi Mike,

After Darrell Huff (owner of the nobuttons headset website that you gave
me) read my original post here... he wrote to me and has bent over backwards
to help me in all shapes and forms regarding getting my BlueAnt headset to
work! He is beyond kind, courteous, concerned, compassionate and working
with me to get everything resolved. I am so thankful to find a person in
business that *truly* cares about ther customer. Rare these days.

Darrell thought I should update the Q-list as to my experience with
_www.nobuttonsheadset.com_ (http://www.nobuttonsheadset.com/) and I agree!
Looking forward to getting this resolved with Darrell's GREAT help!

Lori,
you should try the no hands version at the website I originally sent you.
It is a pretty good product and the owner of the site is great to work
with. Unfortunately, I have no experience with the BLUEANT people.
Mike~

Subject: BLUEANT BLUETOOTH EARPIECE FOR HANDS FREE CELL PHONE USE

The earpiece that I have been using for the last 2 years with my Motorola
RAZR phone was great but it died last week and now they do not make that
style anymore. Ugh! I forget the name but am lost without it. In the
meantime...

I just got the BLUEANT headset [suggested by Mike below]. HOW they can
claim that it is "hands-free" is behind us! In addition, I do not have a
malformed or unusually shaped ear or anything but the 'little sponges' they
give you to use will not stay in my ear no matter what we try. Even WITH the
 earclip.

Further, without us saying anything and not programming it to do
anything...it automatically started making calls (long distance calls and
"information") that is going to cost us money just for trying to use it!!!

Just before purchasing the BLUEANT... my husband ordered me a
top-of-the-line Plantronics earpiece. When I showed my high techie-husband
the
website that Mike shows below... my husband decided to order that one as well
for
me [thinking it might BE AS DESCRIBED] but so far we have had nothing but
trouble with it. Can't believe that not only do you have to push the off
button once but twice to turn the phone off. I know that once the party on
the other end has disconnected then it can/should automatically turn off
this earpiece but when I was trying it out and calling a friend the other
night... she hung up but the BLUEANT did not. Thank goodness my husband was
here to turn it off or my juice/power and cell minutes would keep clicking
away.

Just my thoughts but I am not very happy at all and BEYOND FRUSTRATED.
Including their customer service who talks to you like you are moron via
e-mail after giving them detailed information on the problems we were/are
having. It is like they do not read what you wrote at all but just decided
to respond with some stupid platitudes that we told them in our complaint
form and that we already knew/know. It would be different if we were
"unexperienced" with these types of units, technology, etc but we are not.

Can't return it w/o a re-stocking fee and because the ear sponges are not
'sanitary' once opened.

Unhappy camper and gonna use the Plantronics one and suck up the money
($125) we lost in purchasing the BLUEANT.

Bluetooth is a technology not a company. My favorite headsets and
microphones are made by Plantronics. Check them out at

Yes, Bluetooth makes headsets and they can connect to your phone thru your
cell or your computer. They require some dexterity to hit the little
button. Definiutely, do not buy one unless you can use it. You may want a usb
headset to your cell or computer. It is one of the things you need to try
out your self before you buy.

I am getting a new cell phone. My son uses the ear speaker & mic. My
hearing is roaring all the time & I have lost upper hearing in one ear & lower
hearing in the other. So I currently use a headset. It covers only one
ear but it is totally covered so I can hear without moving the phone around
on my ear.

Is there a headset for a Bluetooth phone? I'm sure the headset I have
now will fit but now is the time to ask for all the goodies that go with the
new phone.
