To protect my teeth I use a kid's sports bite guard that cost $1.00.
Cheap-cheap-cheap-my middle name. LOL but it works for me. I have a very
old SiCare that we had to put an external speaker on, but it still works.
The state got it for me a few years ago, but they will no longer maintain
it, so I hope it lasts as long as I do. It really makes life much easier.
I use it to open the front door, control my fan/heater, TV and satellite,
and some lights around the house. Unfortunately it will not control my bed,
wrong kind of signals, but it is really great to be able to open the front
door and let the dogs out. My German shepherd knows how to open the door
from the outside, and if I crack the patio door an inch or so she can open
that. Haven't succeeded yet in teaching her to close the patio door herself
so if I want it closed I have to nudge it shut. To make it easier for me to
open and close the patio door I have had some non skid tape glued to the
glass.

It's so much fun to hear what other people have done to adapt themselves to
today's world. I for one, am very glad that I live today with all the
technological advances that we have.
