Right now I am using Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 10 with a Gigaware headset.
This works very well, except for one problem. My headset is plugged into my laptop, and so I need someone to put it on and take it off. This is particularly a problem when my family has guests. I would like to be able to make a quick trip into another room to say hello, without the need to have someone come into my room and unplug me from the computer, and then come back again to plug me back in. I have considered a freestanding "gooseneck" style microphone, but I am usually sitting about five or 6 feet away from the table supporting my laptop computer (so that I could easily tilt my power wheelchair for pressure relief. Does anyone have any good ideas for wireless microphones or some other solution? Thanks so much, Dave Krehbiel
