my elbow hits my desk right on the edge as well but my big problem was
split skin. I taped a spare mouse pad upside down over the edge right there
and - problem has abated after a week or so.

Todd,

I am not handicapped (my son is quadriplegic). However, a while ago I had
the same symptoms as you describe and I asked someone what it might be and
they suggested the Ulnar Nerve (just like Bo suggested). I was spending
countless hours in front of a computer (after my son got hurt)...and many
of
those were late night falling asleep leaning with my elbow against the
computer desk. I quit leaning on my elbow and a week or so later the
symptoms went away.

I think if you stop putting pressure on your elbow your symptoms will go
away also...but probably not over night...give it a couple of weeks.

Darrell

Would prolonged pressure on the base of the palm be something like pushing
a
chair or frequent transferring? I also am on this elbow frequently at my
office. Thanks.
