I think Bactroban sounds about right, but might be the old one I had. The one I have now is a prescription only.   First I try and keep the blister from popping, but if it pops I usually just dab the burn on a 4x4 trying to keep it dry as possible. If it pops I was told to be sure to get the skin off. Germs can get under it and be ripe for infection. I put the antibiotic cream on if it starts to look bad or does not dry out fast. Mine is 2 or 3 days old and most of it has a dry feel to it now. So I feel pretty good about it. If the scab slides off, that's a good sign of infection.
