There a limit switch that is sticking in the wet, humid, freezing weather. IMS should have used a rubber boot on that switch but they did not. Your Braun Dealer can show you exactly were it is. Spray enough silicone so it doesn't freeze. When the micro switch is in the closed position it thinks the door IS closed. Check the door contacts on the B pillar to be sure they are not corroded.
