I am thinking of going with the Invacare FDX as my next chair. Have tried
the demo out twice. It's either that or another Permobil.

What's really annoying is that when engaging or releasing the joystick on
the Invacare FDX joystickit is LOUD which indicates a good deal of play in
the gears of the gearbox. This is further observed by the jerkiness of the
response of the joystick to the actual chair movement.. This can't be good
for the gearbox and leads to breakdown much more frequently.

I know someone here mentioned their LOUD joystick on their chair (forget the
person and chair they have). It's loud enough to be a real annoyance.
Anyone know if Invacare can adjust that?

Also... when switching speeds (from 1-4) it makes 3 LOUD beeps every time.
That is annoying alone let alne in public with people maybe wondering who's
beeping at them or something. Is this adjustable too? Any of you have that
exerience as well?

Permobils, Quantums, etc don't *dramatically* announce to the world when
you're moving or switching speeds so.....????
