Today was my 44th "Quanniversary", 15 days ago was my 60th birthday. I WAS going to celebrate, go out, have a nice dinner, etc. but that all changed when I woke up to find my whole apartment flooded. The water heater blew up. I have to stay in another apartment for a week+. Half my stuff here, half there (my OCD is kicking in big time) They have to replace all of my carpeting, possibly some drywall, paint, etc., etc., etc. This other apartment reeks of smoke - it's disgusting!!! Yuck. Now I get to go through all of my boxes to see what's been damaged. So far I've found one photograph by a favorite artist and several old (1882 - 1902) books that have extensive water damage. Very sad. So I have my work cut out for me this week. But, I made it through another year. So I guess it's not all bad news! YAY ME! :)
