Bobbie,
The most important thing you need to do is what wheelchair said, write
down all the options, needs, size and possible chairs you want down on paper.
You can do some investigation on your own on the net to figure out as much as
possible before
you go in for thev meeting/eval. The more you know b4 you go the better your
going to be. You dont want them to tell you what you should have and completely
take everything over. In most cases an ot evaluation wouldnt be mandatory, but
I
can understand where that could be helpful and possibly get you a chair best
suited for you .All vendors probally arent corrupt, but I get so angry when I
hear about people being totally taken advantage of when these chairs are over
30,000 dollars. We live in these chairs......how good the chair is will affect
your quality of life.

Ron,
What should I expect from the OT, PT and rep from vender? What should
happen during the first visit?
It's been 11 years since I went though this and I wasn't in as much pain as I
am now. Also I have a chronic sore on my right ishium (sp) The chair I have now
dose not tilt back very far, I'd like the new chair to tilt back much further.
I
have a list of 18 specifications.
I would LOVE to get a power head rest that I positively know that the
Quantum
Edge 500 has but I don't know what the qualifications to justify a power head
rest or how would determine that.   Bobbie

in short you dont sign until the chair is delivered or given to you and have
driven, tested and tried everything. Once you sign they wont remnember you or
anything you told them. These vendors are corrupt because they have a monopoly.
