I was speaking to another quadriplegic earlier this week he indicated there
is a portable lift which can be put beside the bed (doesn't need to go
under) so that one doesn't have to worry about a special type of bed when
going into hotel rooms.

I'm looking for one of these, but I have any luck yet. Does anybody have
any idea what he's talking about?

I already have the semi-portable Hoyer lift, but I do like to have one
which would allow me to transfer into practically any bed so all I would
have to do is carry a portable ramp for traveling purposes.
I already have a portable mattress pad which allows me to go into a normal
bed and not need turning.
