Hi Paul,

I have had a horrific sore on my heel for two months with a wound vacuum,
two weeks ago I had a skin graft and I've had to keep my heel offset, since
May 4, when the surgeon left the external fixater on my heel too tight and
did not check for seven days after foot drop surgery. I lost some of my
heel, the plastic surgeon calls it a divet. My orthotist made 2 really great
apparatuses, one to wear in BED and one to wear in my wheelchair. I wish you
would put them on the market. It would be so beneficial for anyone with
heel problems.

I will try to get my friend to take pictures so you can see what was made.
They work wonderfully.

The company my orthotist works for is hangar's, and I don't know if they
are nationwide. No one at KU could figure out what to do. The OT's for the
orthotist that KU used which was the same company. This orthotist is just
really intuitive.

I hope you're orthotist can copy something like I have. Medicare paid for
this. My caregiver burned my hand and wrist into hot water. Second degree
burns, it's going to take a lot long time to heal. I go to the plastic
surgeon each Monday. He doesn't think it will need a skin graft. I would
appreciate your prayers.

I'm glad to be back at home and able to read the quad list.

C4-5, I had my 38 th anniversary last Thursday, while in the hospital for
UTI. I seem to be having a lot of UTI problems, I have a ileal conduit
since 1986 as a result of bladder cancer. Suburb close to Kansas City on the
Kansas side.

I had a septic UTI in May and the infectious disease doctors talked about
putting me on a antibiotic daily but they said if one take away another
antibiotic to be used when I have a UTI, so they decided not to do. Last week
I found I had an allergic reaction to vancomycin, another drug they cannot
use now. I wish they could come up with a better way to treat and prevent
UTIs. What do others do with this problem?

      Hi Paul,
I had one last year and kept it elevated during sleep. Irrigated it with
saline between showers. I used Bacitracin one day and Dermawound the next. I
also keep it elevated since at night as a precaution.
