I had a similar problem with my tail bone. I ended up sewing a type of pillow
case that had a "U" shape spot cut out at the back where my tailbone would be.
I had the pillow case filled with a stiffer type of foam so my tailbone was not
pressed.

Now, sure how crafty you are, but if you are feeling it all the way down your
back, and cannot sew or know of anyone who can sew, I would try to fold a two
towels so that you have one on each side of your spine and not on it. You could
even use two blankets. Just fold so they give cusion on your ribs on each side
of the spine. Then your spine won't press against the back of your chair. You
can drape the towels/blanket over the back of your chair.

Subject: [QUAD-L] Spine bruising

My spine feels like its about to bust out of my skin. It's so bony and my lower
spine has bruising on each vertebrae. Is there any special padding or anything
that would cushion or protect that area?  I use a manual chair and obviously
don't have the muscles to sit up straight.

I don't have the money or insurance to get a custom back. I'm also in my chair
12+ hours/ day

Thanks
