If I may, you said the Cath came out by itself. Could it has caused some irritation when it came out? I'd wait 24 hours if you are in no pain, but call the nurse who did the change and let them know. If tomorrow, the color hasn't changed, call your nurse once again and let them know. Communications is most important, especially now. I wish you the best. Hi everyone! This question is more for the ladies. I got my foley catheter changed today, it actually came out on it's own, it was time to change it anyway. I also started my period today. It's been a couple hours since I got it changed and my urine is coming out red. I felt some discomfort after changing catheter, some chills and a bit of sweat but I feel fine now. I am concerned about the red urine though. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
