Thank you all for your replies. Never mind though. We figured it out. It's a
bit embarrassing and funny at the same time. It turns out that the catheter had
gone the wrong way and that was blood from my period, LOL! It had never
happened before so it took us a bit to figure out that's what it was. It really
seemed like it was urine with blood but I guess it was just blood. So it's all
good, thank God!
Regards to all!

Hi,
Blood may be also be caused by a UTI or Kidney stones. My wife spent hours in
the ERIC while she passed the stone on her own. She also had blood in her
urine. Chills sound like UTI reaction. (I get them when UTI gets me, a male
with a Suprapubic.)
Get urine checked for both maladies, good luck.

Hi everyone! This question is more for the ladies. I got my foley catheter
changed today, it actually came out on it's own, it was time to change it
anyway. I also started my period today. It's been a couple hours since I got it
changed and my urine is coming out red. I felt some discomfort after changing
catheter, some chills and a bit of sweat but I feel fine now. I am concerned
about the red urine though.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
