For about the first seven years I was able to get away with three times a week. Unfortunately my body changed and I now require BC every other day.
I was having a terrible time with gas, loose stool, hemorrhoids and just general intestinal problems, but after my doctor told me to lay off Metamucil and to cut back on my fiber (not to mention he took me off omeprazole) everything got considerably better. I still have difficulties with loose stools when I'm at home. I know whenever I'm in the hospital (not on wood hopefully will not be for a long one time.) I have problems with constipation. I guess it's just a difference in food. My bowel regimen has slowed down considerably and I am now considering methods other than just magic bullets. Whenever I have the possibility of harder stools, I use a couple of different stools offers, but my bowels were so sensitive that I can only use them about 8 to 10 hours before my bowel regimen.
